Newsprint preservation

Newsprint is a non-archival paper which is acidic and degrades over time, it yellows and becomes brittle.
To preserve it, the following steps may be taken:

Photo degradation is a concern as is with all paper. Avoid extremes and store the paper in a dark , cool and dry place.
Because of ink quality, keep the newspaper in its original form, folding it may cause smears and a weak line for it to break a long.
Store newspaper separately from other documents to stop cross contamination.
You may interleave the newspaper with buffered tissue or a buffered paper as backing and place it in an acid-free box.

During the Magnum workshop Toronto with Alec Soth. Listening to Alec and taking his advice, I have created my first book based on the ‘Pain’ series, which includes a monologue with myself about my fear of persecution, prison and torture. I will be printing and binding them myself, hoping to have 25 copies by the end of June and have them for sale and viewing on the redesigned website. Thank you Alec for being such an inspiration.

Our brain does a lot of abstracting. That is the way we perceive the world by abstracting it into an internal representation. Everyday, when we have time to reminisce and let our minds loose to explore and enrich our consciousness we choose to pump music into our brains or read novels. All in a bid to escape from the reality that surrounds us. This video is the silent scream of our being trying to find a time to talk and to be. Hence, I am pleased to submit to your review my first abstract video the ‘Silent Scream’.
