Journey (18+)

At the beginning of the forth decade of my life and with the help of my therapist I have started to view myself and the world around me in a new light. A new emerging me has pushed me to re-question the meaning of existence and consciousness. The current body of work both in execution and concept takes a look at the relationship between my existence and the world I live in. I simply exist and most of the time I am not conscious about my environment or my existence; however, my environment has a direct bearing on my existence and vise-versa. The female model represents my consciousness and the projected image represents the world around me. The model’s expression and emotional response to the projected images is my unconscious reaction to the world and the final image is ‘me’ ( my existence ) as viewed by an outside observer.

The images are my life’s stories of birth, growth, change, failure, success, rebirth, sadness, disgust, love and death. I decided not to name the plates and to leave the viewer with more questions than answers. Every journey of discovery starts with a question and ends with more questions. Welcome to my journey.
